“I am a fast learner who believes in slow, deliberate change. I believe good UX has the ability to right wrongs and solve social problems. I am a sociological thinker and community wellness worker running wild in the UX world. Hop on if you want to make the world a better place.”

I combine sociology and design thinking.

I began my undergraduate degree studying social problems and gentrification in the city of Chicago. Nearing the end of my college years, I realized I had in-depth training in sociological theory, but longed for a tangible, impactful application. I took a leap and went to my first design class. I knew then, like I know now, that we must design the better future we envision.

I help design products that fit into the lives of users real people.

From designing infographics to educate students about STIs to conducting participatory design exercises with Black, older adults from Chicago’s South and West sides, I am a true believer that the best products are built by listening with empathy, not ego.

I am an ENFJ, a protagonist.

I’m an altruist and (according to my mom) “softhearted”. I believe in people and their ability to attain their wildest dreams. I face challenges head-on with “lead-the-group-project” energy. It energizes me to see a project through from start to finish -- discovery, research, wireframes, and all.

I love a good mystery.

What can I say? I’m a sucker for a who-dunnit! Angela Lansbury as Murder, She Wrote’s Jessica Fletcher is my hero. I’ve spent many an evening curled up with a good Agatha Christie and my favorite movie is Clue (1985).
